Assignment 1 - This was our equivalent of a dissertation, a researched based project to consist of 15,000 words worth of effort. Research into a specific problem area was to be conducted, and an artefact produced to test findings. Finally a written report was to be produced to detail all findings

Assignment 1 - This required produce a justification for our project research area, outlining potential issues, timeframes and research areas

Digital Special Effects (Multimedia Technology)

Assignment 1 - This was a group based assignment requiring the storyboarding and script writing of a hoax news report. The footage was then to be captured and made ready for the second assignment via the removal of blue screen elements. A report detailing the assignment, and showing research into available editing technologies was also produced.

Assignment 2 - This was the second group based assignment, requiring the previously captured footage to be edited in a number of ways, and requiring further footage to be captured, Foley sound to be produced etc.

Assignment 3 - This was an individual assignment, research into available Chroma Key, editing, and capture technologies was to be performed and a report detailing these findings produced.

Assignment 1 - This required the creation and animation of a simple scene

Assignment 2 - This assignment consisted of two main parts

Part 1 - We had to produce a concept plan of our model

Part 2 - We had to produce a our model and create simple animation renders to test its geometry

Assignment 3 - This was the management based assignment consisting of two main parts.

Part 1 We were to produce a Conference paper based around a specific subject, mine being Social Networks and Gaming.

Part 1 We had to produce, and present a 5 minute presentation to a large group on our findings.

Frontier Technologies

Assignment 1 - This assignment was split into 3 parts

Part 1 - We had to produce a short Blog briefly describing a presentation, this was repeated each week

Part 2 - We had to produce C.V and Covering letter in application to a job

Part 3 - We had to produce and present a short presentation on ourselves, and our suitability for the job role

Assignment 1 - This required us to conduct research into philosophy, learning to construct a valid argument based on a variety of viewpoints but void of personal opinion

Assignment 1 - This was a two part assignment

Part 1 - We had to produce a presentation detailing how we would undergo the task in Part 2

Computer Games Production Group Project

Games Design

Assignment 1 - This assignment required us to produce a single player modification for Valves Half Life 2. Modification files are not included due to size, please contact me to request them.

Assignment 2 - This assignment required us to pick 1 game available on Steam For Café, and write a critique on it.

Assignment 3 - This assignment required us to work as a group, looking at a retro game, deconstructing it into base elements and then creating either a card, or board game with the components we had. We chose “Altered Beast” for this task. We had to create both documentation, prototypes, and an academic poster. If you would like the final game please contact me.

HCI, Computers and Society

Assignment 1 - This assignment consisted of 2 parts.

Part 1 -Part 1 required us to perform a critical HCI analysis, and comparison of two different systems, for this I chose Play.com and Amazon.co.uk

Part 2 - Part 2 required that we involve users, and get there opinion on both systems by creating some form of data collection procedure

Assignment 2 - This assignment required us to analyse 3 sets of data relating to CMC (Computer Mediated Technology).
